He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man – Psalm 147:10
When the Lord wants to partner with people to do His will, He is not looking at how strong and powerful we are. Rather, He is looking at how humble and obedient we are. Humility and obedience are what enabled Jesus to fulfill his purpose on earth (see Philippians 2:5-9). It is why Mary and Joseph were chosen as Jesus’ earthly parents. God does not look at our capabilities because our capabilities pale in comparison to His ability. He is rather interested in people who will yield to Him so that His ability can flow through them. This is great news! We don’t have to be impressive and outstanding to achieve incredible exploits. Incredible exploits flow from yielding to Him and standing our ground in Him when trials and tribulations come.
The key to success in life is humility and obedience
