A few years ago, I spoke to a man who spoke of his co-workers as dragons he needed to slay! Like this man, there are people in society who do not feel good if they have not made someone their enemy. There are people in society who always feel they are in competition with others. It is difficult to build real and strong relationships in societies where most people carry this attitude as everyone is leery of each other and everyone uses each other to get what they want. In such a society, fear runs rampant, loneliness is rife, depression is an epidemic, and happiness is difficult to come by. Peace is about wholeness, prosperity, nothing missing and nothing broken. Choose to live in a place and amongst people who are for peace. The only competition that matters is the competition within yourself to be better today than you were yesterday.
