Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! – Psalm 150:6
This verse in the bible is both an expression of desire and a command. The expressed desire is that every person in the world praise God. Expounding on the word breath provides a more complete understanding. While breath stands for the vapor we breathe out, breath is also a word used for the Holy Spirit. When we insert the Holy Spirit for breath, we see that the Psalmist means that everything that has the Holy Spirit residing within it should praise the Lord. Why? This is because every person that has the Holy Spirit residing within them have accepted Christ and have passed from death to life. Such a person has a future and an expectation of good. Such a person does not have to worry about their eternal destination after leaving this world. What other reasons does such a person need to praise the Lord?
I have many reasons to praise the Lord
