Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I escape safely – Psalm 141:10
To be wicked is to be twisted. Twisted actions come from twisted thoughts, and twisted thoughts come when we fail to understand, appreciate, or imbibe the words of God. It is possible for us to act wickedly just because we do not have an accurate understanding of Gods word. It is also possible to act wickedly because it is a cultural norm. We do not have to fall into the trap of wickedness. We can settle in our heart not to do those things that go against what God desires. We can stay clear of people who think and do things that are contrary to God. We can examine ourselves to see if our thoughts and actions have become twisted. If we do not wish to set a trap for ourselves, we need to pay attention to God’s words to understand the intentions behind His instructions, principles, and commandments. If we do this, we will escape from doing wickedness in His sight.
I can escape the trap of wickedness by paying attention to God
