I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread – Psalm 132:15
To be blessed is to be empowered to succeed. ‘Her’ in the context of the verse refers to Zion or the body of Christ (the church). Provision is a complex word that can be broken down into pro and vision. It literally means support for the vision. Thus, the words ‘bless her provision’ means that God will empower the church in support of the vision that God has given it. How do we make ourselves a candidate for blessing? By choosing to walk according to the vision that God has for our lives. When we do, He empowers us in support of that vision. He opens doors and provides for us. But should we choose to do our own thing instead of walking according to His vision, then we operate in our own power instead of His power. We find that things are much harder, and the blessing of our own effort comes with too much regretted sacrifice.
