Clouds and darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne – Psalm 97:2
It can be easy to get confused with so many voices claiming to speak the truth. But we know the truth is that God is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. He has never changed His nature and neither will He. In this verse, we see that righteousness and justice are central to God’s reign. This means if we see lawlessness, it is not of God. If someone talks about doing injustice, it is not of God. If you see someone using different measures for different people based on their ethnicity or background, it is not of God. We need to remind ourselves of the true nature of God in a world where people use the name of God to manipulate and get what they want; lest we attribute to God something that has nothing to do with Him, and we get carried away in error. God will never violate who He is to bring about a prophesy or to fulfill a covenant. His methods may change, but His nature remains unchanging.
