Many backslidden believers shun God – thinking God is angry with them and they cannot approach Him. The result of this is they miss out on His blessings. When we shun God, whatever God meant for us ends up in other people’s hands. The story of Jesus is the story of a savior who decided to rescue the world not because the world called on Him but because He loved the world. And even though the world shunned Him, He still pursued the world vigorously. The truth is that God wants you to reach out to Him regardless of the circumstance, and regardless of the state of your relationship with Him. Call on Him and He will answer. Open your heart to His answer and experience the goodness of His grace. Don’t let what God meant for you to slip away because you have decided you are unworthy. Jesus has made you worthy, so embrace His love for you.
