Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples – Psalm 96:3
There are two ways we can declare something – the first way to declare is with our mouths and the second is with our life. Both speak clearly to people and can either declare the glory and wonders of God or will declare God in a less than flattering light. There should not be a distinction between what our words declare and what our actions declare. When what we say matches what people see, then we become effective evangelists. But when what we say and what we do or how we are living does not match, then our witness is not as effective. Living out what we preach requires that we humble ourselves and surrender daily to God. It is impossible to achieve this in our own strength. So don’t let this ask cause you to beat yourself up or start struggling to make it happen. Rather, it should lead you to humble yourself towards God and seek His help to be beautiful witness of His. May our words and actions be such that they both declare the glory of God.
