Daily Devotional: June 12 – Make It Count

I said, Oh my God, do not take me away in the midst of my days – Psalm 102:24

We are not here by chance. God in His divine providence earmarked us to be alive during this present age and in this season. Moreover, He had a plan and a purpose for our life before it ever began. His plan and purpose are good for us and for the people that are in our sphere of influence. Now, if God has us here for a reason, we should not desire to leave this earth until we have accomplished the thing for which we are here. Are you aware that every second of your life counts and that time is your most scare resource? Are you aware that God has earmarked some days for you and that He wants us to number them so that we can make the most of them. This appreciation should focus your life energy and influence your decisions. It should lead you to pray like the Psalmist – God please safeguard me so that I can finish the race you have set before me, before I go to be with You. Each day you live is precious; you should make it count.

I will live my life in a way that allows me to finish the race in my allotted time
