Daily Devotional: July 4 – A Just God

The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy – Psalm 111:7

The bible teaches us that God abhors cheating and unfair treatment. It also teaches that God does not show partiality but that He is a just God as further evidenced by today’s verse. So why are there people who have a worldview that God will act unjustly and will favor a group of people unfairly just because they belong to Him? Biblical history does not support this view. The bible tells us that the people of God suffered consequences when they acted waywardly. Moses warned then that this would happen and cautioned them to choose God’s way. Apostle Paul mentioned that we reap what we sow. Apostle Peter mentioned that he perceived that God does not show partiality. Friend, we should not take the truth that God loves us deeply as a license to rebel against God and treat people unfairly. If we see anything happening around the world that is unjust, then we know that God’s hand is not in it, no matter how much people would like to spin a tale of history or lineage to justify it. God is just! This has never changed and will never change.

God does not sanction actions that are unfair and unjust
