Daily Devotional: July 6 – Road to Blessings

Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments – Psalm 112:1

Thank God that being blessed does not hinge on things such as into which family we are born, what we did in the past, our skin color, or any other worldly consideration, though the world would have you believe that is all that matters. Praise God that for those in Christ, our blessings hinge on the extent to which we fear the Lord (have an awe of God) and the extent to which we obey (listen intently to Him) with the intention of acting on His instructions! Those this mean that everyone on earth has the chance to be blessed to the same degree? No! What it does mean is that the individual will have the opportunity to be blessed compared to those around them. So, let me ask you: How often to do you listen to what God is telling you? How much respect do you have for God’s instruction? To dismiss the voice of God is to trouble yourself. You can either chase blessings all your life or let blessings chase you by allowing God to influence your thoughts and actions. Respect God so that you can experience the blessings of peace that comes from Him.

As my thoughts and actions go, so goes my life
