A wise man is once quoted as saying: Do not be so busy trying to understand the root that you fail to capture the fruit. While it is perfectly okay to ask, ‘why is it this way’, we should not forget to ask ‘how can we benefit from the way it is’. There are many things we do not fully understand; there are many things that are just too profound for us. These include how a simple prayer leads to eternal salvation, how faith saves the sick, or how miracles occur! But just because we may not be able to explain these things does not mean we shouldn’t position ourselves to benefit from them through faith and prayer. God is the author of the universe. He is the One who determines how things work. If He has said it, we should just believe it and position ourselves to benefit from it. Don’t be so haughty as to ignore what you can’t explain. Don’t allow your intellect to be a hindrance to experience the divine love of God.
